The divisibility of a number is the ability to divide among other numbers. One number is divisible by another when the division equals zero.
For example, the number 12 is divisible by 3 because 12/3=4. That is, it allows you to make an exact division and is therefore divisible.
To know if a number is divisible by another, the divisibility criteria are used, which allow to easily decompose a number into prime factors, and this in turn makes possible the calculation of the least common multiple and the greatest common divisor. All the concepts related to divisibility are explained in detail in the following sections.
